THE TECHNIQUE OF TRANSPLANTATION CAN BE DISAPPOINTING
HOW TO AVOID NASTY SURPRISES

Many patients who have turned to hair transplant institutions both in Italy and abroad have then turned to Hasci Italia because they find themselves to have a donor area completely used while their receiving area is not completely restored. They remain therefore with a half bald head and with the impossibility of finishing the capillary restoration due to the lack of available follicular units.

Now let’s see how this is possible and why and how the patient should behave when consulting institutions proposing the FUE technique, whatever the trade name of the latter.

The consultation for FUE technique

In a FUE consultation the patient is offered a transfer of follicular units from donor zone to recipient zone.

Most often the amount of follicular units proposed for transplantation is very high, of the order of several thousand, depending on the quality of the donor zone and the surface of the receiving area to be restored. What the patient is never told is about the donor zone.

In fact, the whole discourse focuses on the receiving area which is what interests the patient.

The donor zone with FUE technique does not grow back and does not regenerate

Everything is kept quiet about the donor area which unfortunately, after the extractions, is dotted with small scarred shortages. Apart from the fact that all these thousands of scars very often cause a hardening fibrosis of the scalp, the patient remains unaware that the density of his donor zone will decrease dramatically.

And the worst happens when, to cover quite large receiving areas, the amount of withdrawals becomes substantial, sometimes withdrawn over two consecutive days. This means that the donor zone can be reduced to a minimum, without the patient being informed.

This precludes any possibility of further intervention. In fact, many institutions know that the patient will not return a second time anyway, especially if he had a transplant abroad (but this also happens sometimes in Italy) and then transplant and take as much as possible not caring about the state in which they will leave the donor zone.

How to restore with Hasci Italia HST technique cases damaged by FUE transplants ?

At Hasci Italy we receive many patients really disappointed by the result of their transplant with FUE technique. However, they have an unsatisfactory result in the receiving area and when they have eventually turned again to the same institution for a second transplant they are then told that their donor zone can no longer bear any withdrawal. Sometimes the donor zone is so exploited that it remains really visible in the occipital zone of the skull.

In the light of all these disastrous achievements we advise patients who are not yet decided for a particular type of technique to focus their attention during the consultation also on the donor area and to ask expressly what the institution proposes to them about. This question will unfortunately remain unanswered because all FUE transplants leave gaps in the donor area and there is no solution to prevent this from happening.

How the HST hair stem cell transplantation technique works ?

With the HST Hair Stemcell Transplantation technique, instead, the surgeons of the Hair Science Clinics, the only authorized to operate with this technique, operate by transplanting only portions of follicular units taken from the donor area. In this way, in fact, the hair stem cells contained in a follicular unit are divided into two portions: the one that remains in the donor area and the one that is transplanted in the receiving area.

All this process takes place by taking portions of follicular units with needles of very small diameter, 0.6 millimeters, smaller than the smallest needles used in FUE technique and in any case smaller than those of follicular units. With this HST technique, therefore, the two portions of follicular units each give rise to a new follicular unit, one in the donor zone and one in the receiving zone.
From the follicular unit of origin two follicular units are created, identical to that of origin. The consequences of this small miracle are therefore multiple: the follicular units available for transplantation are multiplied, so much so that this method is also called Hair Multiplication.

Donor zone regenerated in nine months with the HST technique of Hasci Italia

In particular, the donor zone is, within nine months corresponding to the life cycle of human hair growth, to regenerate regaining its appearance before surgery. This is a major step forward in the practice of capillary transplants, since all the negativities observed in the creation of shortages in the donor area are overcome by the fact that the donor zone is reconstituted.

Very natural results thanks to very close installations with HST by Hasci Italia

In addition, in the receiving area the various grafts are transplanted with an extremely high density given that they are grafted by acting with needles even more minutes, with a diameter of 0.5 mm which allows a very close installation between the grafts and therefore a very natural appearance.

Hasci Italia often also receives applications to regenerate over-exploited and therefore unsightly donor zones. With the same system the HST technique allows these cases to be progressively densified.
